Drinkin’ rum and coca-cola. That’s very nearly what I got up to at last night’s Nuffnang Blogger Cocktail Club event at shi-shi ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ venue New Gold Mountain on Liverpool Lane. An intimate crowd of bloggers (so good to catch up after a long summer holiday!) and the ins-and-outs of making an Ernest Hemingway-approved Daiquiri. PS it doesn’t involve frozen slushee mix.
What do you think of this gorgeous new dress from new online go-to The LBD Boutique? My style is a faux-wraparound number called ‘Anika’. Check out their website for a vast array of perfect dressed – all in black, naturally.
So here’s the recipe if you feel like making bartender-y at home. Or, you could dress up and go to New Gold Mountain and have their handsome retro-ish barmen whip one up for you.
Said handsome bartender and the array of treats from new biz Rice Paper Scissors – just near New Gold Mountain. Ceviche, dumplings, nutty pineapple thingies that were FRESH!
New peeps and old friends : Cintia from My Poppet and Marianne from Esme and the Laneway.
Peek-a-boo : Trish Hunter of Trish Hunter Vintage looking picture perfect in red against the lush green interiors of New Gold Mountain.
Sip-a-roo: rum cocktails for erry’one. Favorite Samantha Wills ring-a-shining.
Chrystle from clovevintage – she’s one of my Ruby Assembly studio pals, too!
Looks like a fun night and you all look so glamorous!
Love your pics Iolanthe and it was great to meet you! I didn’t get to see your dress in all of its glory as you were sitting down, but I am heading over to the LBD Boutique’s site now that I have!!
Lovey chatting last night. Although I look like a crazed loony in that photo. Lol. Serves me right for not shutting up
Xx cinti
