Hello there. I believe we last met a week or so ago, before I fell off the earth in a final rush of pre-Christmas writing. Well, I’m back in the saddle again – along with some beautiful images of a night out at The Cullen hotel for Nuffnang’s Blogger Bingo earlier in the month. I’d never played bingo before, and it was great to do it amongst fellow bloggers including (left to right) Trish from Trish Hunter Finds, hostess Candice De Ville from Super Kawaii Mama and Marianne from Esme and the Laneway.
A long table – replete with sandwiches, drinkies and goodie bags – was set up in The Cullen’s rooftop function room – a space blessed with amazing views of Melbourne from a vista rarely enjoyed.
After a little chatting, hostess with the most-est Candice de Ville took to the stage and talked the novice crew of bingo-bloggers through the basics of a concentration heavy (but skill-low) game of chance. Every round offered us the chance of a different prize – including this rather spiffy painting pictured behind the lady Candice. Alas, reader – I cannot say I won anything on the night.
But I did hone my bingo skills with this ‘Tipstar’!
The Cullen’s signature bags filled with goodies to take home, including a voucher to the National Trust’s Pollywoodside boat – I’m looking forward to enjoying that in the upcoming holidays.
As the sun set rosily over the little city of Melbourne I love to call home, I realise again how darn tootin’ lucky I am – not only to be able to attend fun things like blogger events – but more importantly, to be young, healthy and free. The city is truly my apple – and hopefully, yours too. That’s what I call a REAL bingo moment.
