Last week we enjoyed a precursor to Melbourne Spring Fashion Week with the much-anticipated Stonnington Fashion Spring Runway at glamorous Malvern Town Hall. A great chance to catch up with bloggers (such as The Style Gallivanter pictured left) and to peruse an array of racewear, beautiful ballgowns and streetwear. Here’s Ruby Slipper’s coverage of the night.
There were two new entrants announced to the Stonnington Fashion Hall of Fame – Lisa Gorman (pictured above with hotess with the mostest Jan Jacklin) and Gregory Ladner (milliner extraordinaire). Love the preview of Gorman’s S/S14 collection with the 80’s style dungarees!
Idiosyncratically fabulous Gorman prints – easy and elegant for Summer.
Soaring millinery from Gregory Ladner.
Toot toot! La bella vita in go-faster red racing.
The tuxedo ballgown by Nicolangela was my favorite of the night. Star model Paris Roberts (right), also in floaty Nicolangela.
What’s a runway without a bride? The audience were wowed with extravagance by Connie Simonetti.
