You might recently have seen an entirely NEW kind of women’s glossy on the shelves at your newsagent – Renegade Collective. A little bit biz, a little bit fash, a whole lot of inspiration – Renegade Collective is the brainchild of publishing legend Lisa Messenger. It’s a cerebral kind of tome for entrepreneurs, light on the fluff and rich with substance. Ruby Assembly recently covered Renegade Collective’s Melbourne reader dinner on behalf of the publication at extraordinary Northcote ‘chef’s chef’ restaurant Estelle. Here’s a little ‘taster’ of the event, where readers were treated to a delicate degustation dinner complimented by fine conversation and the odd glass of Krug.
To date, Renegade Collective has featured covergirls including Lorna Jane, Mia Freedman and Layne Beachley. Headed up by commercial publisher and all-round inventive type Lisa Messenger (pictured right) who it was delightful to spend some time chatting with. Lisa’s publishing brand produces collateral for brands including Samantha Wills and Lorna Jane.
Estelle Bar and Kitchen is charmingly intimate, and offers up curious and delectable treats such as this micro-herb starter. Beautiful!
Pop.
Good times all round at the Renegade Collective Reader’s Dinner including new faces (check out blogger-gurls in the making WhatKateIz Did Next at top), and a particularly delicious olive oil and creme fraiche-y dessert, bottom left.
We look forward to collaborating again with Renegade Collective soon – and doing some delicious networking in good company at their next Melbourne reader’s dinner.
