Autumn, I am glad you are here. Autumn means long-sleeved dresses in warm fabrics, turbans, boots ( I recently began wearing my year-old Dr. Martens again just in time), scarves and decadent makeup. A little glimpse of toasty winter was present at the launch of designer Estelle Michaelides’ (pictured far left above next to Kyra of Pybus PR and Cecylia) label Micky In The Van. Entirely made in Melbourne with a super-competitive price point (read: mostly under a couple of hundred bucks), Micky In The Van offers a toasty-warm selection of pieces for Winter 2013 that reminds me of the Dandenong Ranges forests. Dense, cool, mysterious. Me likey. Here are a few images from the night, held at The Provincial Hotel in Fitzroy, where the buzzing crowd were well-soused with boutique Deitea teas. One cup or two?

This boxy Micky In The Van jumper is right on-trend with both digital print and ’90’s redux shape.
