Last Sunday’s Societea at The Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park was everything you would wish a high tea to be in your wildest, most Vogue Living-inspired dreams. Imagine a balcony clinking with fine china, heaving with notable, fashionable types and warm with golden sunlight to boot. Werribee Mansion is a historic building which has been beautifully cared for, rich with the ghosts of wonderful parties from times of yore. Chandeliers, sumptuous art, sweeping staircases – the full Scarlett O’Hara effect. I was fortunate enough to attend the VIP SocieTEA courtesy Pybus PR, and the event was truly magnificent with nature playing her role by providing blue skies to eternity, and blooming gardens to stroll amongst.
Today’s photoblog invites you to join Ruby Assembly on an afternoon to daydream about, or perhaps book for yourself in future – to attend the next Mansion SocieTEA click here. It would make a wonderful Christmas gift (or gift to self, mind you). Chin Chin!
Wearing a gown from High Street Northcote’s Local Place, Necklace from Polli and vintage shoes from Nude.
We feasted on finger sandwiches, scones, quiche, petits fours and tea. More over here please!
Bespoke fruity cocktails from T2 had the conversation flowing.
We got to meet blogging zeitgeist K is for Kani and her sister (right).
Left: Leeyong Soo from Style Wilderness in her vintage-kimono fabric gown, re-imagined into something entirely cocktail worthy. Top Right: Milliner Richard Nylon and the ever glamorous Shiva. Bottom Right: Lady Melbourne sparkles in the sun.
During the SocieTEA event we were treated to a menu of beverages including the Melbourne blend (above) and refreshing Turkish Iced Tea.
With Kyra Pybus (hostess with the mostest) and Esme and the Laneway.
Chic on a Mission Indeed : Sarah from Style Melbourne strikes a pose and proves an excellent companion to take tea with.
It was indeed the SocieTEA that kept on giving, with a wonderful T2 gift bag containing a delicate tea cup and French Earl Grey to sup my mornings away on, dreaming another high tea in the sun.
I think I have withdrawals from this fabulous event…can’t wait to see everyone, drink with everyone and sample sweets with everyone again! xx
