Last night I had the pleasure of attending the launch of AB Makeup by Antoinette  Bekos at Las Chicas in Carlisle Street, Balaclava. Antoinette (picture above with yours truly) is a veteran makeup artist – indeed, she’s the Head of Hair and Makeup at Channel Ten. Presenting well-known media personalities at their best is something Antoinette has great experience with – having been Bert Newton’s personal makeup artist and beautifying the likes of Chrissie Swan et al. Antoinette felt that there was a gap in the Australian market for a beautiful foundation solution. Thus was born AB Makeup, a luxe product made in New York – and a range that covers off on all the essentials beautifully. To date, we’ve had the experience of wearing AB Makeup’s lipsticks and glosses (both of which have light finishes, are comfortable to wear, and never give one ‘the dreaded line’ – you know what I mean). We’re looking forward to road-testing her range of primers, concealers and foundations over the Spring Racing season where product longevity is at its most important!
