Ruby Assembly @ Dita Von Teese Runway

…. and booties.

These three smooth and gorgeous things sum up the delightful, saucy circus that was the Dita von Teese ‘Von Follies’ runway. From the moment Dita made her entrance, all milky skin and glossy locks against a backdrop of violet lighting, the fashion festival became a hollering celebration of fearless female sensuality. This runway had it all. Little girls, big bom-chika-wah-wah girls, natty chapeaus, horse whips (!), capelets, amazingly beautiful retro hair and lots of red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. That almost makes it sounds like a calisthenics competition. Let us assure you, it was not.

What to wear to a vintage glamour runway? Is there a level of campness one should not go beyond?

We don’t think you can be too camp at something like this.

Luckily, we think Dita would agree with us.

Lovely to see you there too dear. Your getup was most natty! Will you be attending many other events in LMFF?

Fantastic photographs Iole, really captures the ‘spirit’ of the evening. Also the two photos of you are terrific and different. Cheers, Liz G x
