Fields of gold. Potent, femine and decidedly art deco, golden fields of wheat are the elegant motif of Myer’s Autumn Winter Runway 2012. A collection of modest yet urbane designs from well-loved locals including Manning Cartell, Yeojin Bae, Jayson Brundson, Toni Maticevski, Fleur Wood, Leona Edmiston and more… you’re in for a treat.
Iolanthe wears: Missoni by Wolford top, Witchery drape skirt
Held at the newly-renovated Myer Mural Hall, this runway indicates a return to style for the Myer organisation. After such a successful re-imagining of one of Melbourne’s grand dames of retail, this show’s wintery glamour and art-deco sensibility matched the Mural Hall’s Napier Waller murals beautifully.
Lights up, sparkling Mount Franklin mineral water down…. let the magic begin.
