Ruby Assembly Consultants’ Iolanthe was delighted to attend the launch of Thom Whilton and Lisa Teh’s wonderful new project – Couturing. This is going to be one website to watch, comprising of their own editorial-style fashion shoots, CouturingTV and more. Held at Melbourne’s GPO overlooking Elizabeth Street, the launch was a huge success – a heady mix of designers, fashionistas, bloggers and various bright young things. The kinds of folk who are to couture what Karl is to Chanel!

The party space was elegantly decorated with cool blue hydrangeas, and guests were refreshed with Belvedere Vodka bespoke cocktails aptly named ‘The Couturing’ and ‘Five Dresses’  – made just for the Couturing launch event.

There were ample opportunities for happy snaps, what with Polaroid sponsoring a ‘Couturing’ photo booth of kinds – and plenty of bloggers with their cameras out! Here I am with the elegant Leeyong Soo of Style Wilderness. I must admit, I’ve been dying to let this Leona Edmiston gown out of the closet, and this was the perfect opportunity!

Marianne of Esme & The Laneway in a glamorous teal vintage gown, and Suzi from For The Love of Audrey.

Lookin’ fly : The inspiring Sandi Sieger of Onya Magazine, and Shannyn of Parisian Street Society (run, don’t walk to their new online store for your vintage baubles, bebes).

Say no more: It’s Cecylia, rocking a fabulous feathery confection. Couturing made real.

Why so….

…serious?!? Tempe and Kyra of Pybus PR.

Sofie Camili of Fame PR with an amazing sequinned bolero. Send her to Madrid, already.

Congratulations Thom and Lisa on both an amazingly successful event (which has taken over the social media networks of Melbourne) – and on the launch of Couturing. Your dedication is to be applauded.
