Drapes & Tobacco

Drapes and tobacco. Sounds like a bad visit to a recently deceased Great-Uncle’s house, doesn’t it?

I’ve had this interesting tobacco-colored drape skirt from Witchery since Spring, but for some reason haven’t brought it out to play that often. It immediately attracted me with its color (wonderful with cobalt blue or black) and the hourglass shape it guarantees. I found it at Witchery which had a cracking Summer collection full of canary yellows, blues and prints.

This summer I’ve also been wearing patent-leather yellow Saltwater sandals (just like the ones your Mum used to buy you, flat and with braided leather) and trying my hand at the now-ubiquitous fishtail braid.  I felt a proper dill when I saw fishtail braids feature in a recent ‘Shit Fashion Girls Say’ on Youtube.

What’s been hiding in your cupboard all summer – and what’s the one fashion trend you’re guilty of following in 2012?
