Ruby Slipper @ Miss Fox Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Ooh I love a tea party. And children’s stories, with the Wizard of Oz (naturally) and Alice in Wonderland being top of the list. So when I heard about glamma salon Miss Fox holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, I was more than slightly excited. Today’s self-indulgent Ruby Slipper blog chronicles an afternoon of pampering, cocktails, networking, polished nails and cupcakes. PS Are you loving the Alice and Queen of Hearts Badge, and White Rabbit fobwatch necklace? Details below!

Attire of choice? I didn’t have a blue pinafore and pintuck gown like Walt Disney’s blonde-haired Alice, so I re-interpreted in nude and black polkadots for a touch of whismy. Wearing : Cheshire Cat grin, Forever New party dress, Dotti polkadot cardigan, Leona Edmiston Tights, Rubi Shoes brogues. I’m pretty sure Alice didn’t wear heels.

I knew I was saving up these little babies for a rainy day – Alice & Queen of Hearts badge from Finders Keepers Market and White Rabbit fobwatch necklace (with matching teacup and ‘Eat Me’ charms) from Diva.

After being warmly welcomed by the very hospitable Miss Fox team, we were offered a Ruby Slipper (how appropriate!) cocktail from the Madame Brussels bartenders deluxe. Here I enjoy a chin chin with the beautiful and creative Kyra Pybus of Pybus PR. We were quickly ‘down the rabbit’ hole after being plied with further Pimm’s style cocktails and magic tricks too!

White rabbits… (AKA Katie Waggott of Miss Fox)

… magicians with card tricks, coin-bending and dice

Laurent lunchboxes with Alice in Wonderland storybook touches (not to mention quiches, macarons and mini baguettes…)

Rococo style gold ‘Lolita’ cupcakes to seal the deal.

Canary-yellow manicure to extend the ‘polish’ of a wonderfully managed event at Miss Fox. Sweetie box and all.

Take-home cupcakes really sweetened the deals, as both Kyra and I had a little cake to give our own ‘Mad Hatters’ waiting at home.

I understand that Miss Fox will be holding one High Tea per month in the near future. I would highly recommend a Miss Fox High Tea as the perfect event to catch up with your girlfriends, enjoy beautiful food and entertainment. We were wonderfully fed, watered and entertained in luxury. Thankyou Miss Fox!
