Our Business Ninja of the week is Adam Joske. Adam has long been a top performer at the well-respected Gary Peer in Caulfield. Today, we find out a little more about what makes this real estate impresario tick…
. What makes your business magical, setting you apart from other competitors?
I am a perfectionist. I have a team of 3 with specialised roles, allowing us to focus on our roles. I am a strong user and believer of technology – imperative in today’s business world. I have incredibly high ethics and always have positive intentions in everything I do.
2. What are your maddest ‘ninja skillz’ at Gary Peer?
I have been in the industry for 17 years with15 years in the one compnay and area…. standout area specialist! I am amongst the leading agents in the country. I keep fit so I can be on the ball at all times
3. How did your lightbulb moment in creating your business come about?
Realising about half way through my career how many agents have wasted contacts in their database. I have kept in contact with everyone on a long term basis… I have a plan/program with these people… leading to my becoming an expert in keeping databases perfect.
4. What is your earliest memory?
Camping with my father at Wilson’s Prom. It’s one of my fondest memories as well, which has lead to camping with my son as often as possible.
5. What would your last meal be?
Peking Duck or Dim Sum from Silks or Teppanyaki at KoKos ( talk about endorsing the Casino)
6. What is your best tip for recruiting staff or choosing business partners?
To hire people who are good at the things you are not.
7. What is your favourite sound?
The word ‘SOLD’.
8. Who would you like to invite to dinner?
Richard Branson – he has an incredibly gifted business mind yet has not lost the ability to have fun and enjoy the finer things in life.
9. Who has inspired you to be a better ‘Business Ninja’?
Stephen R Covey, author of the book ‘7 habits of highly effective people’. This book is about living a successful personal and business life.
